The company is expected to take possession of the office facility and commence operations in Q2 2027. The workspace is being planned to accommodate a sizable workforce and support large-scale business operations.
Nearly 4 Lakh Sq Ft Taken on Long-Term Lease
The office transaction covers close to 400,000 sq ft, giving Genpact access to a large contiguous workspace within a major commercial development in Gurugram.
The company will occupy an exclusive office tower, allowing it to consolidate a significant number of employees within a single facility rather than operating across multiple smaller locations.
The long-term nature of the lease also indicates continued demand from large corporate occupiers for Grade A office spaces that can support future expansion and operational requirements.
Office Facility to Accommodate Up to 8,000 Employees
The proposed workspace is expected to accommodate approximately 5,000 to 8,000 employees or seats.
The office has also been planned to support 24×7 operations, which is particularly important for companies servicing global clients and teams across different time zones.
The combination of large floor space and round-the-clock operational capability makes the facility suitable for consolidating major business functions under one location.
Operations Expected to Begin in Q2 2027
Genpact is expected to take possession of the office space before beginning operations during the second quarter of 2027.
The timeline provides sufficient time for the office to be fitted out according to the company's workplace and operational requirements.
Once operational, the new facility will become a substantial addition to Genpact's office presence in Gurugram.
Gurugram Leads Delhi-NCR Office Leasing
The transaction comes at a time when Gurugram continues to hold a significant share of Delhi-NCR's commercial office market.
During H1 2026, Gurugram accounted for around 45% of gross office leasing activity in Delhi-NCR. Although its share declined from approximately 65% during the corresponding period in 2025, it remained the largest contributor to office leasing in the region.
The changing share also indicates that office demand is spreading across multiple commercial locations within Delhi-NCR rather than remaining concentrated in a single market.
Delhi-NCR Records 7.2 Million Sq Ft Office Leasing
Delhi-NCR recorded approximately 7.2 million sq ft of gross office leasing during the first half of 2026.
The leasing volume was similar to the level recorded during the corresponding period of 2025, showing continued occupier activity across the region's major commercial districts.
Large transactions such as the Genpact office lease continue to contribute significantly to overall absorption because a single deal can account for several lakh square feet of occupied workspace.
